32nd Annual Ice-Out Contest Is Over!

The Ice Is Off The Lake!!

The ice has finally melted and open water extends across the lake! The warm temps and high winds the last couple of days did their magic on the ice. The DNR has determined that as of April 28 the lake was free of ice!! Now it's time for the Minnesota Fishing Opener!! Let the Summer Games Begin! The contest had only 47 guesses this winter (partly due to the warm weather conditions and water on the ice halting recreation on the lake) - and only three folks guessed it RIGHT!!
