The high winds and warm temps and high winds the last couple of days did their magic on the ice. The DNR has determined that as of May 5 the lake was free of ice!! Now it''s time for the Minnesota Fishing Opener!! Let the Summer Games Begin! The contest had only 43 guesses this winter (partly due to the warm weather conditions and water on the ice halting recreation on the lake) - and only three folks guessed it RIGHT!! The winners are:
